I’m Carrie Welch, and I created this space out of a deep curiosity about the ways psychedelics intersect with human consciousness, healing, culture, and personal growth. What began as a personal journey—reading, questioning, exploring perspectives, and listening to stories—gradually turned into something I felt compelled to share. There’s a lot of noise, misinformation, and stigma surrounding psychedelics, and I wanted to build a place that feels grounded, thoughtful, and honest.

On the other, there’s outdated fear and blanket dismissal. I found myself wanting something in the middle—something human. My interest in psychedelics isn’t just academic—it’s personal. Like many people, I’ve been drawn to questions about the mind, meaning, and what lies beyond ordinary perception. Psychedelics, whether approached through research, cultural traditions, or personal narratives, open the door to those questions in a unique way. I’ve spent years reading scientific studies, exploring historical and indigenous perspectives, and listening to the experiences of others. This blog is where I bring all of that together, not as an authority with all the answers, but as someone deeply engaged in the conversation.

At the same time, I don’t shy away from the complexities—legal issues, risks, cultural appropriation, and the importance of respecting the traditions these practices often come from.
